The History of Occult Magic: A Wizards Take on Occult in 2025.

HistoryThe History of Occult Magic: A Wizards Take on Occult in 2025.

When we say occult, the first thought that comes to our mind is magic, wizards and witches, and more mythical beings. The layers to the history of occult magic are like an onion. But if I say that is just 0.1% of its entire world, then would you agree? Some say occult was first discovered and came to light in the early 19th century, while others say it’s a more ancient term than we’ve ever known. While the term occult is derived from the word ‘Occultus’ from Latin, it doesn’t make it a parameter to measure its age.

Before Sir Isaac Newton discovered gravity, it was still there and doing its job. Gravity was always there; we discovered it when we were enough capable to understand a few laws of this vast universe. Similarly, magic, spirituality, and hidden gems of human consciousness have always existed since the beginning of the universe. Now, it’s our duty to give you the details about the exact history of occult magic with some evidence.

Lets Uncover Some Basic History of Occult Magic

  1. The mention of occult in ancient Hindu scriptures dates back to the Mahabharata and Ramayana. These scriptures normalize occult as part of day-to-day life.
  2. There is mention in the Hebrew Bible about the prohibition of sorcery, necromancy, divination, and occult practices in Deuteronomy 18:9–12. Judaism is the second-most oldest religion on the planet after Hinduism.
  3. In Christianity, the Bible has references to the occult and its prohibition. The terms exorcism, sorcery, and divination are mentioned. Christianity alone is a 2000-year-old religion.
  4. There is historical evidence that supports the presence of mysterious and magical beings.
  5. The inter-dimensional portals are another example of mysterious beings throughout the world.
  6. The Egyptian culture has mention of occult on various occasions, especially practices like Heka (magic), mummification, and the use of ‘Book of the Dead,” which are quite common in the Egyptian culture. The roots of Egyptian culture date back to 3100 BCE, making it one of the oldest histories of occult magic.

Some Significant historical evidences that mentions occult magic

The picture of Mayong Village depicting history of occult.

It has always been there. The wizards, tantrics, and witches live among us, and yet we ignore their presence and signals. The ignorance of the occult has cost dynasties and kingdoms, yet it was never fully repaid.

In 1337 CE, Emperor Shah dispatched the army of 100,000 horsemen to invade Ahom Kingdom in order to have the entire Assam under his rule. This period is recorded under the Delhi sultante. As the Army was marching with full speed, they had to pass through the forests of Mayong. The Army was seen entering the forests of Mayong but was never seen coming out. Each and every soldier in the army of 100,000 perished in vain, and nobody was ever seen again. Till now, archaeologists have conducted several search expeditions for the fossils or any other solid evidence, but it seems that nothing was there in the first place.

Since then, the fear of Mayong Village has troubled many Mughal rulers and invaders. It still is the most respected, feared, and private territory of India.

So if the incident is recorded to be around 14th century CE, it means that Occult practices like black magic, witchcraft, and voodoo were at their peak during this era. The following historical evidence is just a glimpse of the history of occult magic and its uses. There is a lot to be explored and uncovered.

The Greek and Egyptian Occult Practices

The initiation ceremony at Eleusis, near Athens, was considered sacred in the Greek Kingdom. These ceremonies and rituals were done to initiate a blissful afterlife. Archaeological evidence at Eleusis provides insight into the physical spaces used for the mysteries. These mysteries are very secerative for the people during that era; hence, it becomes more difficult for us to understand a bit of it.

Oracles in ancient Greece were considered to have much closer frequency to gods. Both men and women served as oracles. The term oracle means messenger of God. The most famous oracle was a priestess at Delphi. The one who delivered messages was called Pythia. We’ll discover the rituals in another segment of our historical evidence. The Oracles had much deeper influence in 1400 BCE, and it roughly ended in 400 A.D. It means that Greeks had been using occult actively for approximately 2000 years. Thus it gives us more deep insights that occult existed in different parts of the world at different timelines, having no co-relation with each other.

Hence, now we can come to the conclusion that the history of occult magic is far more ancient than we could stretch our imagination.

Just because you don’t understand something doesn’t mean that it ceases to exist. In the early days of scientific developments, even science was perceived as magic. Thus, it does mean that even if today the world is speculating about the mystical and spiritual connections, there are people like us who have already cracked a cheat code to the universal vibrations. Wizards are also scientists with different approaches towards the universe. The term Wizards and Witches might sound fake to modern-day scholars who haven’t yet figured out about their own lives. But if you delve a little deeper and start connecting with the universal elements, you will notice that everything has a significance. Everything is somehow or another interconnected.

Thus, if somehow we start calculating the exact beginning of occult from the humans perspective, then it would be roughly around 10,000 years back at least. It can be even much older but this is a benchmark where we are considering that normal humans and human wizards started practicing and understanding it. Thus, the history of occult magic is far deeper than you can count.

I would like to end it with a quote,

The history of occult is more deeply carved into the human subconscious than you can even imagine.
